Micor

The music of MICOR feels like a film that was never made – atmospheric, poetic, and profound. At its center is actor and musician Robert Besta (known from Back in Action / Netflix, Die Fallers), whose compositions and lyrics create a haunting sonic world somewhere between Nick Cave, Tindersticks, indie, jazz, and dark folk.

Joined by an exceptional ensemble – Stefan Breuer (drums), Marcus Franzke (keys, trombone), Johannes Frisch (bass), and Moritz Schläfer (guitar) – Besta crafts songs of emotional depth, literary richness, and unexpected musical turns.

With MICOR, he ventures into new territory: analog textures, cinematic dynamics, and a near-magical intensity blend into a sound that’s both raw and refined. The current single “Redemption” has received international acclaim (including the Montreal Independent Film Festival) and is nominated at several film festivals.

The debut album “Redemption” will be released on July 19, 2025, produced by Daniel Benyamin (SEA + AIR) and Craig Gray (Lazy Giants) at Kangaroo Studio.

Live, MICOR becomes a dense, almost hypnotic experience.
